Here at Maude, we LOVE all things local. So we decided it would be fun to grab a few of our favorite area bloggers, and do a fashion-filled photo shoot.

We chose to showcase blogs we thought the Maude fan would enjoy. Three focused on fashion, interior decor, hair and makeup; one focused on that windy path that can be your 20s; and one dedicated to our mommy clients. (Our owner Becca is mom to a stinkin cute 1-year-old!)

We hope the photos show you no matter your age or style, our clothes are for real women who want to spice up the day-to-day with fun fashion.

A true style mavven, living in Little Rock, styling for Dillard's (talk about an awesome job?), her blog is one of our favorites. She does a great job of mixing pieces from all kinds of different price points to create stunning head-to-toe looks. 

Leslie, A Blonde Ambition

This spunky southern girl gives us great insight into what's happening in the world of fashion, decor and more. She adds a personal touch with posts on becoming a wife (don't miss her awesome wedding photos!) as well as her journey getting to this joyous place in her life.

Annye & Jena, Smith & Emma

Smith & Emma is a blog dedicated to young women in their 20s navigating their way through dating, relationships, career and more. They break up the heavy things with posts on current events and trends. With a little humor, and a lot of opinion, they hope sharing their 20s with you will keep you motivated and inspired as you figure out your place in life. 

Anna, Tulip Louise

Anna is a fashion superstar. She has been featured on a number of extremely popular blogs like Apartment 34, Glitter Guide, Dilly Dallas and Style Me Pretty. She also been featured locally in CitiScapes Magazine, At Home Arkansas and local blogs A Blonde Ambition and The Wedding Post. She even styled a photo shoot in Rue (one of our favorite online mags!) You get it, her street cred is more than legit. Look to her blog for fashion inspiration. Her creativity in styling is out of this world. 

Shannon & Gwen, NWA Motherlode

NWA Motherlode is THE source for Arkansas mommies. What makes their blog unique is it exists as a gateway, featuring experts of all sorts - from fashion to food. As mom's themselves, they are putting together an information source from experience, and what can give you more credibility than that?

Wedding Wear

Deciding what to wear to a wedding can always be a difficult feat. During a little chat amongst our staff about what to wear to a wedding (Jena has one on Sunday afternoon), we decided the only rule you HAVE to follow is don't wear white.

Of course, make sure it is appropriate, but it can still be fashion-forward and fun. Oh, and not to mention comfortable. You need to be able to get that groove on! 

 Jena picked out this jumpsuit for her wedding Sunday. 

We also think this pretty Aryn K. maxi is a perfect choice. Our friend Paige wore it to her brother's wedding recently. How stunning is she?

The Big Apple Baby!

We are excited to share that our owner, Becca, will be headed to New York this weekend for MARKET! Becca will be browsing for immediate fall items, holiday and resort to fill our racks, spending time with lines we love and keeping an eye out for new lines, too.

We love stocking our store with the best of the best in the fashion world at an affordable price. Becca will be on a mission to bring back items you guys are going to love. We can't wait to see what she finds!

THE LAST CHANCE!

Chloe and Jena did a little rearranging of the store today! In our lovely armoire now exists The Last Call Closet. Jena's favorite top >> Even though the color is bright, it really works as a neutral. It goes with everything. 

Chloe has this one >> I wear it with high waisted flares a lot for a flowy 70s look.

One of Becca's faves >> It's a super trendy print right now, plus its great tucked into a maxi or left out with a pair of skinny jeans.

Chloe has this one, too >> This is great to wear over dresses, actually. Just belt it and you are good to go! 

The whole staff has this one!  >> We all wear it a lot of different ways. But I find myself always throwing it on with a pair of jean shorts. It's easy and comfortable but looks great. Sometimes I wear a tank under it, and other times just a bandeau. It depends on where I'm heading!

One of Meredith's faves  >> I wear this top all of the time! I love the mesh detail at the top. It's fun and bright, but not too girly. It's still got a little bit of funkiness to it.

Bragging Rights

So we have to do a little bragging about our humble little store. Just a few days ago, Gretchen Jones, winner of Project Runway Season 8, stopped in to peruse with her mom. Not only did she compliment our store, she grabbed herself a bunch of goodies. We were more than thrilled!

In just a few weeks, Gretchen will be showing her collection at market in New York. Our owner, Becca, is headed that way to do some buying for the store. Who knows, maybe a few of Gretchen's pieces will end up in Maude!
